Andrew Raines
Round Four - Andrew Raines (Richmond)
Entered his third AFL season with seven matches under his belt, yet the dashing defender took his game to another level in 2006. His form was that strong that he was regarded as one of the most improved players in the competition. Raines was also recently rewarded with a three-year contract that will see him remain at Tigerland until the end of 2009. His coach Terry Wallace has even suggested that the son of 1980 Richmond premiership hero Geoff could press for this year's Jack Dyer Medal. Yet he will be a leading contender for this year's award.
