Perseverance
has been a strong feature of Foley's game and in 2006 he missed just
one match - a terrific effort from the onballer. His improvement
recently earned great praise from Richmond coach Terry Wallace, who
said Foley trained as hard as anyone and sought as much help as any
player at Tigerland. Although Foley received his nomination after
Richmond's demolition of the Brisbane Lions, his best ball-winning
performance came against Melbourne in round 15, when he gained 21
touches. He became the fourth 'rookie' to gain a nomination, joining
Danyle Pearce, Cheynee Stiller and Clinton Young.
