Having
played the final seven home-and-away matches of the 2005 season - after
been upgraded from the rookie list - Young added a further 14 matches
to his name in 2006. He received his nomination after a fine display
against Richmond, which yielded 24 disposals (including 21 kicks) and
13 marks. It was a strong performance from Young, as it was his first
match back after a brief stint in the VFL. A tall wingman, with good
composure, Young also possesses a penetrating left-foot kick. He is one
of several emerging youngsters coming through the Hawthorn ranks.
