Having
been an emergency for the opening round of 2006, Rosa gained a call-up
in round two and didn't disappoint, producing a terrific performance
against Adelaide. He won 27 disposals and took nine marks in that
match, as West Coast won a nail-biter by two points. It was just his
fourth AFL match, after he made three appearances in his inaugural
season in 2005. He played every match from rounds two to 11, before he
was sidelined with concussion. Despite West Coast's awesome engine room
and ball winners, the tall midfielder still managed to play 13
home-and-away matches this year.
