ROUND 9 - GUY RICHARDS - COLLINGWOOD
After being selected in the 2000 National's AFL Draft, Richards made his AFL debut in round two against the Western Bulldogs - his fourth year at the club - and played 12 matches before a groin injury ended his season. He subsequently missed the remaining eight rounds, which puts him in doubt for the award after a very promising start.
