Round 22 – Ashley McGrath
After playing one game in his debut season in 2001, McGrath added nine games to his tally last year. However, McGrath has played 18 games in 2003 and in round 22, the young West Australian played his finest game for the club, booting six goals against the Western Bulldogs to gain his nomination. The brother of Essendon’s Cory and Toby (a rookie-list player), McGrath has played as a running defender, but as shown in round 22, he is a more than capable forward.
