Round 19 – Marc Bullen
In his third season with Essendon, Marc Bullen is finally reaching his potential. Hailing from Congupna, north of Shepparton, Bullen was the 63rd selection (the Bombers’ fifth choice) in the 2000 National AFL Draft. A hard-running midfielder, he was nominated in round 19 – his 10th consecutive game for the season – when scored two goals from 12 kicks and took seven marks against the Western Bulldogs. Bullen won the Essendon VFL best and fairest in 2001. He finished with two votes in the 2003 Rising Star.
