Round 16 - Daniel Motlop:
After an indifferent and injury-hampered start to the season which included a spell in the VFL, Daniel Motlop established a spot for himself in the Kangaroos line-up after the mid-season break. Deployed primarily up forward where he’s shown a liking for a big grab, Motlop has also had spells in the midfield and down back. He won his nomination in round 16 against the Saints with a compelling bundle of stats: 14 kicks, five handpasses, nine marks, four tackles and three goals. There’s no shortage of smart small forwards at Arden Street, but Motlop is poised to take his place alongside the best of them.
