Round 14 - Aaron Sandilands
The tallest player in the league was promoted off the club’s rookie
list last year and debuted in Fremantle’s opening match of 2003. The
20-year old has performed solidly allowing Troy Simmons the opportunity
to sneak forward. Sandilands earned his nomination during the club’s
thrilling win over Brisbane in round 14 when he collected 31 hit-outs
and 11 touches against Brisbane ruck duo Jamie Sharman and Beau
McDonald. Another memorable moment came in round three when he tackled
Tigers ruckman Greg Stafford, who was trying to run around the mark in
the wet.
