Round 10 - Jarrad Waite
The son of Carlton premiership player, the late Vin Waite, Jarrad Waite
made his senior début for the Blues in the opening round of this
season. Having spent the entire 2002 season playing for Carlton’s VFL
side, Waite emerged as a regular and reliable senior player for the
club in 2003. He played in 20 games, earning his nomination for his 21
possessions and two goals against Fremantle in round 10. He is still
developing his body strength, but Waite’s pace and ability to play
forward or as an attacking player across half-back was promising in an
otherwise disappointing year for his club.
